LM Love your stash all the things

When I started this layout on Saturday night my main goal was to complete Lasting Memories Love your stash - finishing touches with enamel shapes and Nuvo drops, but then the new challenge came out: All the things.  For the final challenge of the month, you must use at least three patterned papers, stickers, trim, punch/die/ephemera, enamel/ brads/sequins.  Up until the last challenge I've managed to create two layouts for each theme.  They can be found here: #588End of February check-in, #588Halloween, #589 Love Your Stash Trim, #589Chess, #590 Court of Honor, #590 Gift Exchange.  Fell off the creative flow with the start of Spring Break and outdoor projects.  I'll share photos of those when I get around to scrapping them.

  1. I have more than three PP
  2.  #588 Sticker- phrase stickers, leaves, and the hiker silhouette
  3. #589 Trim -washi tape, bakers twine, and stick pin ( blue blob behind the certified die) for ephemera
  4. #590 Punches/ dies/ ephemera used my punch to make the tag as well as a variety of dies.
  5.  #591 Finishing touches enamel stars and Nuvo Drops

I just snagged this mini kit of Simple Stories " Take a Hile" from the local goodwill this week.  I worked in a  few items from my stash as well.  The Outdoor memories and certified badge are cut from journal blocks to create my own dies and hid the edge of the leaves with the lantern as it looked weird the way that the leaves were cut straight on the side of the card.

My starting sketch is from the Scrap a sketch FB group

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time on the long read.

A Double Trouble Collaboration

We are partnering with the  Double Trouble Challenges for this new challenge.

UYS challenge this week is White + One other color.

Try to have just the white and one other color varying shades are okay.

(Feel free to use neutrals like black, kraft, cream, but sparingly)

Now here are the details for the Double Trouble challenge

Make sure to share with both Use Your Stuff and Double Trouble

I'm not much of a card maker and tend to create mostly 12 x 12 layouts, so my take on the challenge will be white plus red and a little black.  You can't have a layout about chess without red and black, but the majority of the layout is white.
Thanks for stopping by and remember to share your layout with us at Use Your Stuff and Double Trouble
I’m also playing along with Lasting Memories love your stash as I used a strip of washi tape

Gift exchange

Back with the final 2020 Boy Scout layout using the latest sketch from sketches in Thyme and Lasting Memories love your stash challenge- dies, punches and ephemera.

I went a little bigger scale wise as I used two photos to make a 5x7 picture.  Also change up the journaling stripes but the overall layout is similar.

Court of Honor

November 2020 Court of Honor Covid style; masked, spaced and video streamed for our families.
I'm playing along with two challenges with this layout.  The inspiration for the layout is from Sketch-n-scrap #245 March 15th sketch.  I got the large banners in but altered the two background blocks to work with my photos.  I'm also loving my stash with Lasting memories challenge #590 punches, dies, and ephemera.
The notebook edge is a border punch and the BSA rank badge is a die-cut piece as well as the branches.  For ephemera, I stuck in two leaf straight pins into the foam that's popping up the badge.

thanks for the inspiration to get another layout done.

mid-month update:  on target to complete 10 pages.

Creative scrapbooker magazine

Playing with Creative Scrapbooker magazine 2022 March sketch.

Flipped the top photo so I could nestle the title in the open twist of the flames.  Mixed and matched Echo Park “Happy Bear” and Simple stories cabin fever.  Love how it came together.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by

Scrap a sketch #22

Created this quick layout from Scrap a Sketch #22

I fussy cut two of the pieces from the cut apart page from the Echo Park “Fall Forever” collection to make my title and embellishments.  Great way to soften the linear elements.

I’m almost done with 2020 scout photos.  This one is from one of the November meetings when the boys were building owl boxes to hang up at the back of our property.  We hav a resident owl in the filbert orchard and another smaller barn owl from the neighbors farm that might like a safe winter nesting area

LM #589 Love your stash-Trim

This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is:

"Trims" - Ribbon, twine, washi tape, or paper strips

I'll be honest I just restarted this post as I noticed that  I could have added more trim.

Trim times two: Baker twine bow and washi tape on the banner piece
Also, I am still loving the stickers from my stash as well.

Thanks for stopping.  I have another layout with washi that I'll reveal on March 21st as part of my Use Your Stuff DT layout.  Till then hears a little sneak peek

UYS masculine

Welcome to the newest challenge at Use Your Stuff.
We're going with a masculine theme this time around.  I'm currently working on my son's scout album so it was a perfect fit.  I chose this layout because I was finally able to use up my Jillibean Soup "too cool for School" kit and  I used a munch neglected stringed medallion punch from my border marker stash.

I did a bit of fussy cutting the chevrons to create the popped-up elements and clustered the last of the die cuts and puffy stickers for my embellishment cluster.  Super excited to have another layout done.

Please share your masculine creations with us at Use Your Stuff.

Stick it down and LM #588 Halloween

I tweaked it a bit to work with the last bits of  CM Pumpkin spice papers that I had. The stripes are close to the sketch but I had to get creative to cover the whole thing (there may or may not be a small gap in the plaid paper but it's covered by the 4x4 paper)  Only leftovers I had were stickers which is surprising as I used a bunch.  On a roll with Lasting Memories #588 Love your Stash- "stickers"- sticker sheets, sticker books, puffy and chipboard too. I finished off two of the three sheets of stickers from the collection.

I added the border strip at the bottom instead of the banner on the top corner and used a fussy cut photo instead of a die-cut element on the bottom.  A smattering of themed stickers, some of which are popped up on my new foam tape and some journaling for the right-hand side of the layout.

I continued the pumpkin border across the bottom photo to take up the dead space of the parking lot without losing the impact of the long line of cars.  The troop hosted so many families with their drive-thru treating that the line backed up onto the road.  Since I moved the journaling to the other side of the layout I used a sprinkling of phrase stickers down the side of the layout.

Glad I got to play along with both of the awesome challenges and to have another scout layout done.
