This weeks challenge is all about using those uncut pieces of paper. You know the ones that are so pretty you can't bring yourself to cutting them apart or cover up the pattern.
Well we are giving you and excuss to finally do it.
If you're not familiar with Use it Tuesday, their mission is to get crafty people using what they already have. So cut into that paper and join the challenge at Use it Tuesday.
I made this LO of my dad and ?
I'm still working on filling in the blank as no one really put names or dates on the photos I have. I know it's not my grandmother, but kind of looks like her so maybe a sister. I'll have to wait till my mom's visit in September to figure it out.
The funny thing about them is that they aren't so beautiful that I couldn't cut them. I just didn't know what to do with them. So they have sat in a file for a few years now. Along with the matching cardstock border stickers. They were only 8 inches long but with some creative cuts and a second set of stickers I made a full length border. A little distressing with a nail file on the chipboard brackets and to finish the whole thing off a leaf and journal box from my stash.
I hope I've inspired you to use some of your stash and would love to see what you come up with.
Please link your creation using Inlinkz by Friday Aug 3rd. No blog? No problem! Just use keyword USE036 when uploading to an online gallery and leave us a direct link so we can find your creation.
Please make sure to mention you are playing along with us at Use It Tuesday (a link is great too!)
