Creative memories online crop

I got to play along with Creative memories online crop this weekend in between the ballet of Girl Scout cookie booths.  Only got to enter 2 of the 6 challenges as  orchestrating the smooth transitions of cookies, money and booths is a bit time consuming.  So glad to be almost half way through the season and am going to escape to a scrap retreat in March.  So this might be it for a few weeks, but how knows.

Challenge #4

I used older Cm paper.  Forgot what it's called, but it's the one with the Hot air balloons (Dream?)

and Challenge #6

I used a year to remember 2 and solid cardstock from Croptoberfest

Stick it down online crop

Last weekend Stick it down hosted an online crop.  I tried to play along but life had other ideas for the weekend.   Saturday 1/ 27 Danielle and I did a couple hours of service with another scout troop working on their Silver award.  Sunday was church and run club.   Good thing the deadline to submit layouts ran through the week and into this weekend.

I did manage to get BLIND Scrap challenge done on the day it came out.

 1 portrait and 1 landscape 6x4 photo.
2 Patterned papers(12x12)
2 cardstock (one is backing and won't be seen)
ribbon
small embellishments
a large monogram letter.

Instructions.
Cut along the diagonals on both patterned papers making 2 large triangles.
Adhere to backing cardstock with the right angles on top left and bottom right corners.
Mat each photo with plain cardstock.
Cut a circle the size of a saucer from remaining cardstock.
Ink around this circle if desired then place in top left hand corner so that it goes over the edge.
 Trim off excess pieces.
Cut out monogram letter of your choice to fit in the middle of this circle.
Adhere monogram in centre of circle.
Take 3 pieces of ribbon about 5cm long and fold in half.
Staple or use a brad to adhere these to the corner of your photos.
Adhere photos to page.(portrait in the top right corner and landscape in the lower left hand corner, under the monogram circle.
Add journaling or title to the lower right hand corner.

I also got the double page sketch/ tic tac toe challenge done last Saturday too

I used the center row across with the sketch below

to create this fun Halloween layout

This Friday I managed to get in one more challenge with the Grab 5

Here is the list of supplies you need to include in your layout: a stencil, stamping, alpha stickers, sequins and this sketch.

I flipped and rotated the sketch as it didn't want to cover up all the cool stencil work.
I also used a larger photo as it had to have the whole finger in the frame.
I made my own stencil and texture paste. Stamped element is the journaling lines on the arrow

The stencil work reminds me of the shape of the blade on the mandolin that cut Eric's finger and all the round dots look kind of like the texture of a band aid.  By far this is my favorite layout of the crop.  Wish I could have got more done, maybe next time

Glad to be back to it.  Hopefully I'll be able to sneak in a few more layouts during the super bowl
