Senior photo

I've momentarily switched albums so that I can get the storage drawers empty and ready to start collecting this school years items.  I'm a bit behind on my oldest as she graduated in June 2018.  I only have two pages to do.  The Senior photo which I'm sharing and cutting a title for the graduation ceremony so it's so close to being done.  I was hoping to have it finished before I leave to pick her up from Job corp this evening but that hasn't happened.  In the meantime enjoy this simple yet finished page.

I did add "Senior 2017-2018" to the bottom righthand corner after taking the photo to post

June and July 2018

I'm just about caught up with layouts to share.
These are the last 2 two page layouts that I finished at Celebrate Portland

This layout came together quickly as it was the project recipe for NSD back in May.
I had it already assembled minus photos.  Originally I thought I would go with the school colors for my daughter's cap and gown photos, but the field background really lent itself to the layout.

close up of each page

This layout is also from a project recipe.  I altered it a bit so that the mats would stand out by double matting.  Also inked edges and used rhinestones.

Now to get cracking on some more layouts.  Working on the kids' albums from this past school year so that I can have space in the drawer system I use to collect items from the year.  For the most part, stuff is on pages now to go back and create a few layouts.

March to May 2018

Hi, I'm back with another selection of layouts created at Celebrate.  This time I'm featuring layouts from March to May 2018

I totally love the earthy tones of the paper for this layout.  The Sunburst template by Creative memories made it a bit easier to create but I did have to alter the center as the photo is each one of my family members dressed as their D&D character cut out as a silhouette and pieced together.

My daughter Jessica Birthday is in May but the way the album has been coming together I put in her page before my son's April birthday so his two-page layout would make since.

For Eric's layout, I used some older CM birthday paper.
Same pattern as his sisters just a different color palette

I've been trying to use up my older Creative memories paper.
Making a dent in the Candy shop collection documenting Danielle's training for the Corvallis Half Marathon

A very wet 13.1 run.  Super proud of her and her team of runners

I'll be honest this layout is still lacking journaling but I'm hoping it can be completed by my daughter.

Hope you're enjoying my year in review so far.
Up next JCHS Graduation and summer 2018

Presenting the first part of 2018

I had the opportunity to attend Celebrate Crop in Portland the first weekend in August and got a few layouts done.  I'm a chronological scrapper so I'll start you off with the first layout of 2018

For this New Years Day layout of my kid and their favorite DM I used primarily the paper for embellishments and cut the clocks from the patterned paper to create the perfect embellishments.  I thought the clocks were fitting as developing new Dungeons and Dragons characters was a New year eve activity that spilled over into the next day. Love the kids' creativity.  my son isn't much of an artist so he built his ideal character with legos.

this two-page spread is actually two separate layouts documenting a common goal.
Personal training and fitness.

My birthday run in the rain

our living room gym

Birthday trip to Portland for a GS training and hanging out with my Girl scout family

This girl has goals

The first race of the new year. Couples Classic

and the very next day the Truffle Shuffle

So there you have it Jan-Feb layouts

Next up will be March to May

Feast or Famine

To say it's been a while is an understatement.  It truly is feast or famine here on the blog.  I tend to go long periods without posting then dump a ton of layouts upon you at once.  Yes, I went to another crop recently and got a bunch of layouts done.  So, I think I'm going to draw it out a bit and schedule a few every couple of days to not bombard you lovely followers all at once.
In preparing for this last crop I really scaled back on brining every scrap item I own to just kits paired with photos and a few miscellaneous embellishments.  I managed to move everything in one trip with a shoulder bag and my rolling tower.  I love having a clear workspace free of stacks and storage.   Using the tower to store my adhesive, pens, border punch system, washi collection, and the extra embellishments makes access super easy and time-efficient as I'm not digging in a bag or binder.  The bonus is I still have pre-assembled kits and photo pairings to work through when I have a free moment like yesterday morning.

Without further ado, I present my layout based on the single page sketch for August by Stick it down.

I rotated the sketch to fit the orientation of my photos
and I added 2 additional small photo squares in where the title would be.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look
