Snakes and Ladders at Lasting Memories

Welcome back for another of Lasting Memories July  "Childhood Games" themed challenges. Each week the design team at LMCB will make a layout based on the photo/game to inspire you. The  first challenge was a blog hop inspired by "Marbles". You can find my hop entry Here.  It's not to late to hop along as I will be awarding my personal goodies at the end of the month.   I think I might just have to add to it too, a little something for each challenge.  I'll be back soon with a photo of this weeks goodie.  All challenges this month are open for entries until July 29th.
Head on over to Lasting Memories for a full list of challenges.

This week we are creating with inspiration from Snakes and Ladders

You can use snakes like our guest DT Lauren
or you can use the grid/ blocks as your inspiration like Lori, Sandy and Tina
How you interrupt the challenge is up to you.

I was inspired by the ladders and thought for sure I'd have something in my stash of photos that would work. Surprisingly with the amount of climbing around that my children do I don't have a single shot of one on a ladder in the stack of 2013 photos I'm working through.

But what I do have is even better.
My little monkey Eric
He can climb anything without a ladder and here's my layout to prove it!

I used the single page sketch from Stick it Down.
I altered it a bit as the banana eating Eric photo was oriented in the wrong direction, so I cut it down and matted it on the same background paper as the other photo.  I also created a little height and fux ladder for my title with thinner strips of the same paper.

Seriously he is a monkey as he didn't use the counter to get to the top but rather climbed the face of the fridge.  Bottom freezer door handle to baby lock on the upper dual opening doors to the top.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

  2. What great photos - and impressive that he climbed the freezer instead of using something for help! Super cute layout!
