Nutcrackers

It has been a while since I’ve done any paper tearing and this sketch from sketches in thyme was perfect for it. I went slightly larger with the photos and added two extra photos
Also threw in some embellishments too

National Camp in

Just found this layouts in my drafts from way back when I was still playing along with the CM virtual crops.  Not sure what happened but here’s a bonus post for today

December scrap a sketch

I recently joined scrap a sketch on Facebook
This sketch is from the December 18th sketch-a-thon

The circle element is a mixture of chipboard leaves and leaf stickers popped up on foam.  I also added in some dotted flourishes to create movement around the leaves.  Hard to se them in the photo but love the little actors it adds.

Mid month check in

Hi all stopping in with a mid-month check in.  I’ve changed up the way I tracking my time spent scraping this year.  Last year I did the days of the month letters that could be colored in.  I’m much more of a linear girl so an actual calendar with a place to tally total pages completed.

Below is a layout that I finished before my birthday weekend.  No challenge, no sketch, just because.

And a quick sneak peak of the subject of my next DT layout

JO with S. I.T and UYS

With my “Magic Awaits” collection still out from my DT assignment I thought I would do another layout with it.
The papers are Creative Memories take on Disney colors so they are a perfect match for the Inspired by Disney challenge at Use Your Stuff.  I paired it with the current sketch at Sketches in Thyme.

Even though the embellishments are meant to accompany photos from the Disney theme parks I picked the more neutral ones that are generic enough to go with my subject matter

And here’s a peak at the journaling

Deep in the woods

I have to admit that I am smitten with the new "Deep in the Woods" collection from Creative Memories.

I'm very much into the earthy colors and textures on the papers and I love that I could cut apart the laser cut frame page to get it to spread across two pages.  I added in some leaves cut from the side of the journal card.  Sprinkled in some wood round stickers.  Plus a smattering of mushroom stickers and die cuts to finish off the layout..  the paper works so well with my photos of my adventure partner Jodie.  We went mushroom picking this past November

UYS- Inspired by Disney

I'm super excited to announce I've been selected for the Use Your Stuff DT.
Team A will be sharing their take on Inspired by Disney.

I inherited my scrap friend  Creative Memories' "Magic Awaits" decorative bundle.  Mary was a huge Disney fan and was working on her Disney Album when she passed from cancer two years ago this March.  I kept the collection even though I'll probably never go to a Disney park.  I find that the color scheme works well with the Junction City High School colors.  Below is a layout I created for my daughter's school album which is 8.5x 11

I hope that you find some inspiration from my project, or from the other DT

Halloween

Still working my way through the end of 2022.  My kids are on the edge of being too old to trick or treat but decided to go out this year as they didn't last.  I'm using Sketches in Thyme #499 for this layout.

I framed one of the 4x6 photos with a cut-down 6x6 frame from an old Halloween paper pad from Creative memories.  I also used two sheets of the argile print butted together.

The black lace detail is fussy cut from the same paper pad.  The owl is a coordinating dimensional sticker and the banners are die cuts.  Finished it all off with puffy stars and black nuvo drops.

Greenhouse

Wheel of challenges at scrap our stash is a recipe challenge
1 title
2 photos
3 embellishment clusters
4 pattern paper
5 enamel/ puffy dots, jewels or sequins

I think I pulled the recipe together.
To get 4 patterns I had to gut a strip 3x 9 ish inches.  Didn’t cut enough for the top blue floral to go edge to edge like the pink on the bottom but no worries as I hid the shortage behind the tag/ cluster.
