Leaving footprints behind

Today's challenge at Lasting Memories is some sort of footprint.
It can be people, animal, bird, whatever as long as it leaves a print.

We also have  a sketch from Page maps for those that want a little extra challenge.

http://pagemaps.com/
I used this weeks sketch to create a layout about our remodel
I changed the sketch a bit, by putting the journal area at the top and the title at the bottom
I did the title with rub on letters and had to make the last  "e"  with the letter c and i.  It works well enough
I also change the number of flags from 4 to 3 to fit my space.  Totally love the screw brads.
The last change that I made was replacing the decorative scallops for screws and nails.
Close up of journal section.  I did the last two lines free hand and I can totally tell.
I hope you can join us for this weeks challenge as we have a wonderful prize from Digi Darla for you

Painting

For the last layout that I did last night I used the pictures of the girls painting with recycled household paint.
All of the projects they worked on were part of their World thinking Day display.  We held the event on Earth Day as the Theme was Conservation and using resources wisely and as part of the project the girls learned about ways to recycle paint.  All the unused paint collected will be turned into a state run paint recycling program.

To make the title I cut letters from the girl scout promise, which was printed on one of the pages in the K and company brownie pad.  I also used the outer edges of the paper for the  upper and lower borders on the layout as it has a cool stitched look to it.  Also got the center brown paper to make the journal strips.  Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Here's the second layout I did last night
More of K and company Brownie Pad

Made a border with hand stiched Zig zag and some stitching on the journal card too
" our guest presenter Heather taught the Daisies how to make pillow case dresses, which they will donate to a third world country this summer"

" The brownies worked on a denim poncho
while the Juniors pieced together a couple of neck ties for  a skirt"

Girl Scout Picassiette Mosaic

I was letting the Girl Scout Photos pile up and with the prospect of having camp photos to scrap too I thought it was time to get caught up.

So I did three 2 page layouts last night

Here's the first layout of the girls doing several

I used K and company Brownie 12x12 pad.  I got a bunch of them at big lots for $1 a pad

I should start writing a book of all the kid based adventures in the house.  I thought nothing could top having to drive from Eugene to almost Portland that I did yesterday to get my middle daughter to her field trip, but here I am with another adventure.  Today Eric locked us out of the house with no shoe, jackets or phone.  Thankfully the garage had extra rain boots and spare jackets for our walk in the pouring rain to the elementary school in hopes that my middle daughter had a house key in her backpack.  Luckily she did and the rain slowed for the trip home.  Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.  No school day yeah!!
